QPQ Heat Treatment
Quench
When quenched to develop the full properties, treated parts have a characteristic matt black finish and for many applications no further treatment is necessary.
Polish
Components need to be polished when operating with plastic or rubber seals, soft bearing metals, or simply because of the need for superior appearance.
Quench
Optimum color and corrosion properties can be restored by a short passivation treatment in the quench tank.

QPQ Process
The QPQ process is an advanced technology used to protect metals from damage and corrosion. It is a very important process because it ensures that metal parts are durable and resistant to damage.
The QPQ process begins with the surface treatment of the metal. This treatment is usually carried out using chemical agents that are used to remove loose particles and impurities from the surface.
The next step is to apply a thin layer of chrome. This process is called chrome plating, and its purpose is to provide the metal with additional protection against damage.
After chrome plating, the surface is immersed in an acidic solution for oxidation. This process will clean the surface and ensure that the metal is durable. Subsequently, a polymer or polymer coating must be applied.
Finally, the metal is polished again and ready for use.The QPQ process is so important in protecting metals from damage and corrosion that it is often used in engineering and other industries.

QPQ Coating Properties
With Quenched and Polished Quenching (QPQ) coating technology, material properties are often enhanced, making them stronger, more resistant to corrosion, wear and fatigue.
Surface hardness and wear resistance
Perhaps the most significant improvement is that the QPQ method creates a robust wear-resistant coating on the surface of the material, which greatly improves the material's resistance to abrasion, friction and pressure. This is achieved by diffusing carbon and nitrogen into the surface of the material, creating a layer of compounds that are tougher than the raw material.
corrosion resistance
QPQ coatings are very successful in protecting materials against corrosion, especially in harsh environments such as high humidity, marine or chemical conditions. The nitride layer created during the operation of QPQ coatings acts as a corrosion barrier, preventing corrosive substances from penetrating into the material.
Dimensional and surface finish control
QPQ coatings can be applied with great precision, providing tight tolerances and excellent quality monitoring of material surfaces. A good application is where precise measurements and perfect surface finish are required.
